Reading students have raised £1000 from their very own Edinburgh Challenge.
The group originally signed up to take part in the Rob Roy challenge, to which they each contributed £300 (for the challenges' main charity The Prince's Trust), further money raised was to be for their chosen charity of Sponsor an Orphan.
Unfortunately the students were besetted by set backs and had to withdraw from their original goal, but not to be beaten they quickly arranged their own challenge to visit significent sites in Edinburgh. Working in teams of five, they covered a gruelling itinery, including climbing up Arthur's Seat.
The money raised will be used to support Higher Education of students in Kisiizi: in particular two students will be supported through their first year of teacher training.
Thank-you 'Reading Students'.
